Lets make it a photo blog

We're back in Baltimore. The last two weeks in India were extremely packed, to say the least. Since a picture speaks a thousand words, we've decided to let our many pictures speak thousands of words themselves. This will be the first of many photo posts for our trip in India and as we progress through the year.

On the side of a truck.

Greasy, delicious lunch.

SANJIBAN HOSPITAL VISIT

Hospital's own powerplant (left). It was Raksha Bandhan, a major Indian holiday celebrating sister-brother bonds, and many of the Hospital's staff, mainly nurses, tied rakhi's on our hand. It was a very touching moment - the right picture shows hospital staff tying a rakhi on Dr. Acharya's hand.

Pratiksha - waiting room for visitors and new patients (left). The hospital allows local nurseries to let their plants grow on the hospital grounds for free leading to a win-win situation. The hospital gets free landscaping and the nursery gets a place to grow their plants.
Backup batteries for cardiac OR room.

Survival of the fittest.

Very smart girl with two cute bunnies.

The girl later came and bailed
